Catching Up

Well, I fell off the blogging train... I broke one of the most important "rules" of blogging- consistency. My apologies to you!

The semester is coming to a close. That doesn't just mean amplified stress, additional tasks, and sleepless nights for students... The same goes for teachers! So, needless to say, ALL my time and energy has been devoted to my work. But, I wouldn't have it any other way. I realize not many people can say they love their job (and actually mean it). I do!

I still have two more weeks left, but I've already started celebrating the end of a successful semester.

Here's a roundup of my weekend adventures.

Bucs Baseball! This couldn't have made my husband any happier.

A Friday night concert, featuring Train! Oh, and yeah, I met the band! Can't wait to get my pic.

A full day of shopping for Dubai on Saturday. I found some great deals at Gap and Belk.

And, for today, a delicious meal. I don't cook often. I'm actually a good cook, I just haven't gotten the whole meal planning process down... Here's today's menu.
Broccoli cheddar soup (my recipe)
- 1/2 cup chopped onion
- 1/2 stick butter
- 1 can cream of chicken
- 1/2 stick butter
- 2 1/2 cups of milk
- 3 cups cheddar cheese
- 1 cup chopped broccoli
Rolls
Peanut butter, chocolate banana cookie sandwiches
These are oh so ooey gooey delicious! You have to give them a try! I'm allergic to peanuts (not terribly). I couldn't resist the temptation... Oh did it just remind me how badly I wish I weren't allergic to PB.

I hope you've enjoyed the weekend!

God Bless!

One-Piece Swimsuits: You'll Be Surprised

Dubai is on the horizon! In less than 40 days I will board a plane for an adventure I never expected. Since I'm jetting off as a teacher and being accompanied by eight students and another professor, I decided my skimpy, two-piece swimsuits may not be the most appropriate beach attire.

So, I embarked on a search for a more suitable suit. I was surprised by the sexier, age-appropriate options. Fortunately, I found numerous swimsuits that I could see myself wearing often and not just while in Dubai. So, I splurged on this gorgeous, trendy suit by Kenneth Cole. It's sufficient coverage and the lace and ruffle details add a bit of sexiness. It's way cuter in-person and I think it looks great on my body shape.
Here are some other suggestions for one-piece swimsuits. I love the patterns, colors, and styles.

The BEST Workout for Sexy, Toned Arms

The smell of freshly cut grass, the relaxing heat of the sun, the birds singing, and the cool evening air drifting through the house... I love it all! Spring has sprung in Northeast Tennessee and I couldn't be happier... except... It's time to show some skin. Are you ready? I'm getting there, all thanks to exercise.

My workouts vary week-to-week. Doing this helps keep exercising as "exciting" as it can be. But, there is one workout I do twice a week, every week. I love arm-baring tops, but want to love my arms just as much. This workout is quickly getting me there.

It's a compilation of many arm workouts I've done. This is the BEST arm workout. It combines exercises from P90X, fitness magazine and website routines, and my own knowledge. Just as I did, I suggest you alter it to fit your comfort level!

Depending on your fitness level, do this routine one to three times.

Let me know how you do!

An Unexpected Opportunity

I have some amazing to share with you! This news is a day late, but I had SO much going on yesterday and this morning that I am just now finding the time to share.

Yep, you are seeing this correctly. I am heading to Dubai in May! I've known about the possibility of this opportunity for a while, but yesterday it became a reality. For three weeks, I will be co-leading a study abroad course in one of the most glamorous, innovative cities in the world.

It seems so unreal. I'm just a small-town girl...

So many people have made this possible. I could write word after word about how blessed I feel.  I won't do that... But, I will say that I am so excited and can't wait to share this experience with you- my supporters!
