R & R & R

High School Reunion, Class of 2013

I know you know the meaning of R & R. With a few days of break from work in honor of the semester midpoint, I headed home for a little rest and relaxation.

But, there was a third 'R' I was looking even more forward to- my 10 year high school reunion!
The theme, Reunited and it Feels So Good, was more than just a song lyric and motto for us, we all truly felt that way! I am fortunate that I've seen many of my classmates since 2003, but there are a few I had not seen in 10 years! It's hard to believe 10 years have gone by. A husband, move, and three jobs later, I couldn't wait to hear updates from my classmates and reminisce "the good ole' days."

The gathering may have been short notice and somewhat small in attendance, but the room filled with laughter all evening and that's all that mattered to me. Decorated in school colors, memorabilia, and pom poms, we had all the spirit of high schoolers. A 5:30pm dinner lasted until 9pm. I'm just glad the restaurant didn't kick us out! We voted and assigned updated superlatives, from most tattooed to next expecting a child. Over 20 superlatives in all, I walked away with one I am very proud of: longest married! I may have had a slight advantage as we only voted and assigned these based on those in attendance. But, hey, seven years is still quite some time!

What do I remember most about high school? Laughing. And the reunion didn't disappoint. We're all still jokers and full of life. Many tears from laughter were shed Saturday night! From stories of pranks to punishment, we covered it all.

Here are a few photos!
A more appropriate shot. And in the back we have Andrew and Josh standing on their toes to be seen.
High school (middle school) sweethearts
Sarah's expression... priceless.
The gents. Dallas (De), Josh, Joe & Jonah.
The ladies. Me, Sarah, Courtney, Lauren, & Ally.
The ladies working it, but photobombed by Jonah.
Ally and I obviously had no clue... This picture will haunt her!
Best friends since 4th grade. Big & Little.
Stuntin'

 Who is that hunk?

To those who attended, it was WONDERFUL to see you! To those who didn't attend, I better see you in 10 years!

In honor of the milestone, I'm sharing a handful of photos from my years as an Indian.

Always by my side!
Flipped hair was obviously the cool thing. haha

Will always love this kid!
